Attendance

Regular attendance throughout the semester is required for success. You must attend the first two classes of the semester or contact your teacher with a valid reason for your absence. If you are absent for the first two classes without contacting your teacher, you will be withdrawn to make room for students on the waitlist.

Refunds

If you were 20 years of age or older as of September 1 of the current school year, course fees include a non-refundable Program Fee of $65. A full refund is given only when a class is cancelled by Chinook Learning Services. Refunds are not issued after the refund deadline or for non-attendance. Textbooks must be returned at the time of withdrawal.  You will be invoiced for the full replacement cost of the textbook if not returned.

• Fall 2024 | refund deadline is October 4, 2024

Withdrawals

For Summer School 2024, prior to June 28, contact your high school counsellor immediately to withdraw from Summer School. If summer school courses have already started, contact the administrator at the Summer School Location you are registered to attend your class at.

• Summer School 2024 | withdrawal deadline is July 11, 2024

For Fall and Winter High School Upgrading, students 19 years of age or younger as of September 1 of the current school year are permitted to withdraw up until the withdrawal deadline. After the withdrawal deadline, students will remain on the class list and the mark they have earned will appear on their transcript.
